Lachid : Their ethnic group were lived in the Kachin State , Chipyaw ,Waingmaw , Myitkyina widely they are living in Shan State and Kachin State too.

Lachik is a kachin sub-tribe. It has its own language/dialect. A group of seven sub-tribes call Kachin (Wunhpawng).

    For the pattern of the Lachid is based on the “ Jake Moe” : Jute fibre .The relation of Lachid people and their pattern is they believe, after pass away they can cross with that wavy pattern to the another life ( the future existence).

    For this making pattern before the Lachid people they use their hand but nowadays mostly they are using machines to creat new pattern . For the women , main colour is the black and dress, turban , tail and gown. Pattern is based on the wavy pattern . For the upper dress on the black sheep putting and decorating with the silver ones beautifully . The lachid ethnic group’s wavy pattern is very easy to recognize about their ethnic group main expression is only wavy pattern. Most of the people they do believe after passing away from this earth they do believe their wavy pattern will carry them to the new life or another life .
