Cambodia is popular for tourist from foreign countries more and more.
There are 2 kinds of programs in our STWb programs. The one is set in a community school. In there, students live together and learn about community works to contribute to their born village after graduation. For example, we have cashew nuts filed and students are taking care that and process that for selling to Japan. Also, they are trying to keep their own culture, Khmer traditional or folk dance by be told from students to students. Another is set in the village of minority ethnic called Kuy. Kuy people are less than 1% while more than 90% of Cambodian is Khmer. Once they lived in a forest and was professional for iron making, but they already lost the cultures. However they still have other cultures to try to keep the cultures of their proud.
We are focusing on Cambodia historical cultures and ethnic cultures because some of them are getting disappear. In our school, Phum Asia school, students are practicing Khmer dance for protecting their cultures. In Kuy village, Kuy ethnic people are living there. They try to protect their identity. We have cashew nut field, and grow them and process them. With cashew nuts, we are making some products. Also, we offer Kuy black sesame from Kuy village. For both of cashew nuts and black sesame, we don’t use any chemical. We take care them by hands. They are eco-friendly and healthy products.
